Ah, you know how badly trying to get drugs works, I mean they only ever get 10% of them.(no, really, this is true, in the US, only about 10% of illegal drugs are ever stopped; this is just another thing that shows just how failed the drug war really is)

Anyway, as for what people will be called. The first arrivals would be known as Terrans since they came from Earth/Terra. Generations after the new arrivals would be known as Atlasonians, Atlasians, or Atlasins.(as the children try to define themselves from their parents) The most correct would probably Atlasian, but I like Atlasonian the most.
No doubt, some people would always consider themselves to be Terran though.

Replying to OP;

Well, if you look at the names already given by science to objects originating on planetary bodies(i.e. Martian, Terran, Venusian, Jovian, etc), the convention is that the word is altered to include an -ian or -an suffix. Continuing from that, the possibilities(some of which have already been said) would include: Atlasian, Atlasan, Atlian, Atlan. All of these fit the current naming convention. I like all of them except Atlasan. But, yeah!

As previously stated, the first generation is definitely Terran. But then it's muddy waters after that. We've never dealt with inter-planetary migratory species before, so no convention exists. Would the species continue to be Terran in a foreign place, as long as it existed, because that was the planet of its origin? Or is it a matter of birthplace, or of culture? Fascinating.

Very true. An adjective would then serve well here. Let's say we go for the name of 'Atlan' (my personal favourite)

and then add words like adopted, alien, alienated, antipodal, barbarian, barbaric, borrowed, derived, different, distant, estranged, exiled, exotic, expatriate, external, extralocal, extraneous, extrinsic, far, far-fetched, far-off, faraway, from abroad, immigrant, imported, inaccessible, nonnative , nonresident, not domestic, not native, offshore, outlandish, outside, overseas, remote, strange, transoceanic, unaccustomed, unexplored, unfamiliar, or unknown at the beginning, and you've got yourself a full name :P
