In case you didn't know, this is a little guide on how to climb to space. Now i'm sure a lot of you already know how to do this (being the only way so far to even reach space).
Simply press *2* or which ever hotkey allows you to build tiles.
Aim your mouse towards the ground, make sure the tile directly below you is highlighted. Also try to make sure your relatively in the middle of the tile and your cursor is pointed directly under you to prevent your hero from jumping off the tile backwards or forwards.
Once all the above is right, jump then hold down the right mouse button (again which ever hotkey you chose) to add blocks stacking from underneath you. repeat the jumping and stacking process to gain new heights.
Notes: i sometimes like the make little sky platforms as safe zones in case i fall but then again you might be launched far from your tile rendering your safe zone useless ^^.
Also when in build mode, the left mouse button simply creates a new tile/block adjacent to a wall or another tile while the right mouse button stack above or below.
To delete tiles push click your middle mouse button (Scroll) then left click the selected tile, click the middle mouse button again to continue creating.

Edit: The space elevator is made by making two pillars using this method, creating the pillars side by side with a 1 tile gap in between them you can jump, then do a continuous wall jump between the two pillars till you reach the top. Mind you this does take longer than the first method in fact it is based solely off the first method and you only reach the height you created by using the first method, just a neat trick to try.
