Note: something of a WIP
The Concept
An alliance of engineers enhancing the conditions of human life using the application of scientific principles. A clan available to hire or to assist with creative projects.

I'm hoping the developers of StarForge will incorporate the necessary features for in depth engineering and science. Hopefully, there will be adequate tools to suit all roles in the engineering field (aerospace, electrical, chemical, mechanical, civil, weapons, etc). This clan aims to exploit such features in a practical and team-based way. This includes constructing a variety of weapons, vehicles and structures, for recreational, domestic or defense purposes. Examples of these are turrets, bases and space ships.

As far as a back story/history for this clan is concerned, I'm yet to think of one - suggestions are welcome.

The clan - although not yet official - consists of just me.

I realise there is a serious lack of information thus far, but if you have any suggestions or wish to simply comment on the concept, I'd happily take the time to read and respond.

I like the idea, scientists/engineers doing math stuff-- tinkering for no good reason other than to further knowledge (have fun).

I dunno but I get like a Freemason vibe off this like we'd be helping out everyone for the sake that we'd KNOW everyone since we were building projects for them. Not that I'm a freemason or have any connection to such so-called group. Maybe the Forge Engineers actually came to Altas many years earlier using their Masonic wealth connections of the dying earth. Left Atlas for still unknown reason only to return to find majority of their settlements/outposts destroyed by some foe yet to be revealed.

Probably some other even more shadowy organization also interested in galactic hegemony, directly or indirectly. Perhaps the Alliance 's goals have evolved since their masonic days on earth and now genuinely concerned about elevating mankind's place in the universe.

And would membership preclude me from joining another clan ? Or maybe we'd want members to be active in other clans as well.

Joining wouldn't prevent you from joining other existing clans - if it did, I'd be a hypocrite, given that I'm already a member of GSFK.

Also, intriguing back story idea. I'll probably use that and extend it at some point.

We have similar motives.

While my clan is more for the building side of things, we do have an engineers wing, and I (personally) love tinkering and making stuff, both in games and in real life.

Perhaps we should consider an alliance, as I am always looking to expand this particular sort of field, and we could both mutually benefit each other. (my clan is Star-Build by the way)

Well now that your a member of my clan as well, I think a strong alliance should be forged between us, for the greater good

It was only a concept, it's not official - an alliance isn't necessary.
I'll stick as a member of the Crimson League.
