Here are some of my ideas for some of the enemies.

Worms- Worms cannot jump or climb, but they can burrow.When a worm is confronted by an obstacle it can't get around, it will disappear into the ground and appear behind it after a few seconds. For obvious reasons, it does not change the ground. This can be prevented by placing blocks on the ground. If they can't burrow, they will wait for another monster to break a hole. Worms should also be able to set up "ambushes", over time they find areas that the player frequently goes to and then a group of them burrow and wait for you to get near them, then they all come out and attack. Pitiful alone, strong in numbers.

Spiders- Climb over obstacles, and can also perform a big jump to close distance with the player and leap over walls. Spiders come in various sizes, and knockback affects each differently according to its size.

Leeches (the big scary fast demon insect things)- Very fast, and can get a running start to try to climb up a wall. Once they lose their speed they will fall down. If they cant get up it the will repeatedly ramming the wall, causing decent damage to the block.

Wrecker: Does decent damage to the player and lots of knockback, it is semi-rare and is easily capable of reducing your base to rubble. Very loud and big, easy to notice so you can take care of before it smashes your safe house into oblivion. Slow-medium move speed and slow attack. Knockback effects are reduced due to its bulk.

Spitter- meduim-ranged acid attack, not too accurate or powerful but it covers whatever it hits in acid, causing damage over time for a bit to whatever it hits. Fragile, but it can dodge some attacks. Also has a venomous bite if you get too close. Vulnerable to knockback.

Flyers (WOW SO CREATIVE)- Flying enemy. Divebombs at the player while flying , getting hit by a dive bomb has some knockback. It can slowly climb up surfaces, but can not climb upside-down like the spider. Slow on the ground, fast in the air. occasionally lands to rest after flying for a bit. Trys to stay away from the player while on the ground. They tend to roost in medium to large groups on cliff faces and similar places. Medium-little health, and vulnerable to knockback effects. Multiple types-
Basic: Nothing special. Who guessed.
Spitting: All the abilities of the basic flyer, but has an additional acid attack similar to the Spitters.
??? (I suck at naming): Not sure exactly, but can somehow destroy blocks. Suicide that explodes it and anything near it, similar to a Creeper from Minecraft? Powerful divebomb that can break through blocks? Not sure exactly but it can. Not too common, but can be expected to see one per group of flying enemies.

What do you think about these?

I basically agree with these but, the wrecker seems like it may be a bit too powerful. Although it may be interesting to test these enemies in a tech demo I feel that the wrecker may not make the cut unless it's nerfed quite a bit.

Oh, you forgot flying mobs!!! :D I think we really need them if after all, we can build as high as we want! xD Who will attack us if we are running in stratosphere...:P

I actually never thought of that. hmm. Maybe a flying creature that shoots at you somehow. Like an enemy that circles your tower and spits acid at you.

If it seems overpowered, I imagine it as a somewhat uncommon enemy, so being attacked by one is sort of like a mini-boss. It's main purpose is just to wreck your base, making a hole for the other monsters to come in through, so it alone isn't too much of a threat for the player. Getting hit by one, the main thing you have to worry about is knockback, not the damage.

Reminds me of something that will be the embodyment of everything we will learn to hate about the game. Remember creepers from minecraft? Nobody likes them but they are an essential part of the gameplay.

Some flying mobs could just be "pushers". Like they dont fire anything but they can hit you with their body get some of your HP but most anoying would be their knockback! :D Haha, just imagine building into space and on half way some mob decides to have suprise butsex with you and pushes you off the edge into oblivion...xD

Updated worms, since they can burrow under buildings I thought up of worm ambushes, where they all burrow at a spot you frequently go to and unearth themselves once you get too close, so if that gets added watch out when leaving your home.
